# What I'm focused on now

## Current focus

- Starting a new chapter as a UK AI growth lead in a leading global technology consultancy.
- Developing Tech Back Control as a podcast and a practical umbrella for small AI-enabled products.
- Keeping Small Time Bets alive as a record of annual predictions, accountability, and friendship.

I've been building tools that make AI easier to try and inspect. The latest [Playground](/projects/tech-back-control-playground) starts with five hands-on experiments. [Fieldwork](/projects/fieldwork-ml-studio) explores machine learning on tabular data, and [Personal Eval Studio](/projects/personal-eval-studio) is taking shape as a local workspace for repeatable evaluations.

I've also been working on [Pendant for Mac](/projects/pendant), for local recordings and transcription, and [CTRL for Android](/projects/ctrl-android), for turning a current situation into a useful draft or explanation. Pendant is an active local Mac project; CTRL remains a development alpha.

[Spinning Plates](/projects/spinning-plates) makes commitments visible, while [The Construct: Awakening](/projects/matrix-awakening) is a desktop browser experiment in interactive 3D. Some of this work can be opened now; some is still local or protected. Each project page explains where it stands.

## Working on in the background

Alongside work and family life, I still spend a lot of time keeping the small systems around me running: the home lab, network, automation, media, storage, validators, and the little tools that quietly make daily life work better.

## Personal

Family is still the centre of gravity for me. Around that, I am trying to keep space for the things that make life feel bigger: basketball when my body lets me, photography when I remember to slow down, and travel or good food whenever the calendar gives us a window.
